Buying A Pet?

Wabbit is one of the pups available on Pet Rescue
If you are considering taking on the responsibility of owning a pet, one of the many factors you should take into consideration is how much of an environmental impact the pet you choose will have. A cat probably isn't the best choice for someone who does not like pets indoors as the cat will most likely spend its time hunting wildlife outside. A large dog such as a German Shepherd isn't going to be as eco-friendly as a Chihuaha, not to mention much more expensive to upkeep. So one you have made your decision on a rabbit, cat or dog instead of heading to the local pet shop check out your local animal shelters. There are many fantastic dogs that need homes, even puppies! If you live in Australia check out the Pet Rescue website, it is a database of all pets available in shelters nationwide.
